Glad that's over

If all of you knew what my last two weeks consisted of, you'd probably force me to go on a permanent vacation....

Well we had crazy full force spring recruitment, but that was the least of my problems. I had been having severe back pain for weeks and I kept ignoring, even exercised up until the night of our open house when I found myself being dragged to the ER by a sorority sister. Diagnosis: I was the proud parent of a 3mm kidney stone, yes that's right 3mm and that 3mm caused the biggest amount of pain you can imagine. In less than 24 hours, I was violated, medicated, and any other terminology you can imagine. It is quite hilarious looking bag, but those boogers are no fun. If you can picture me in a hospital bed crying not over my pain, but because I was missing my very first recruitment event, total sorority girl move right?!
By the time my dad got there, I was begging him to take me home, I may be 21, but sometimes I still need my mommy and daddy. Poor kBe was constantly checking on me and worried (sweetest boy ever). I know he and I have been dating almost three years, but I have never felt more loved and cared for by his family. His sweet father Dr. B was constantly checking on me, made sure I saw the right doctors and even made sure the whole family was calm. kBe's sweet mom who was on vacation was checking in and making sure I was okay. I guess its true you just don't know how blessed you are until times get tough.
On top of my sweet family, my friends and sisters were constantly praying and they picked up right where I left off and made the event a success. It was the ultimate reminder of how grateful I am for each and every one of them, but most of all I owed a thank you to my best buddy from the 229 Kimber forcing me to go to the hospital when I refused.
As I fast forward two almost three weeks, I am still overwhelmed by the cards, prayers, and calls I received and as much as I am glad to say it's over, I am so thankful to know how many people were there.

Xi love and all of mine,

A

Ps On a side recruitment note, we nabbed 6 girls in spite of my time away and I am so proud of them. :)
